Daytona Beach Biketoberfest 2015

Ladies and Gentleman, polish up your chrome and break out your leather, it’s time for the 2015 Biketoberfest in famous Daytona Beach, Florida! Beginning this October 17th and running until October 20th, it is the biggest biker festival this side of Sturgis. Come enjoy amazing food, awesome live music, unique vendors, scenic touring rides, and bike shows where you’ll see (or show-off) some of the best custom motorcycles in the nation.

From the famed International Speedway to the sandy beaches of South Daytona and Ormond Beach, to the bustling festivals at Midtown, Main Street and Beach Street, there are literally hundreds of events and attractions celebrating the biker lifestyle. Here is just a small sampling of some of what you can enjoy at this year’s Biketoberfest:

Beach Street:

Though it’s named Beach Street, the festivities take place on the Mainland near Riverfront Park. Here you can find custom bike builders, unique bike accessories, live music, and plenty of people-watching. Visit Carl’s Speed Shop for a dyno installation, or go back in time at the Original Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson and see some of the classics. There is also plenty of leather to be found at Barney’s Leather.

Beachside:

Back in 1903 some of the first motorcycle races in Daytona were held on these beaches, and you can see some of those classic bikes at the Boardwalk Classic Bike Show. Enjoy the ocean air as you peruse the vendors, with the Atlantic on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other. There are lots of vendors hocking fresh seafood, and a historic lighthouse to see all the action at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.

Main Street:

No matter the time of year, the party never stops on Main Street, but during Biketoberfest it gets even wilder. Get to know the locals, or take in the sights of all the bikes and people as you enjoy a drink at Froggy’s, Boot Hill Saloon or the Main Street Station. Make your day at Dirty Harry’s, and listen to live-music at nearly every place on the street. There will also be food vendors, prizes, contests, and lots of other activities into the night.

Midtown:

The action in historic Midtown includes live music, DJ’s, food and apparel, and many more vendors sponsored by the Second Avenue Merchants Association. If you need a little help from above, cruise onto the Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church for a bike blessing on Saturday.

International Speedway:

This is THE place to watch and participate in bike races along this recently repaved speedway. There will be free demo rides on the most recent model motorcycles, plus a series of professional racing. Check out the bikini contest, the Flea Market, or other fun on and off the track.

Holly Hill and Ormond Beach:

For a little bit of fun in North Daytona, visit Holly Hill and Ormond Beach. Here you can get a quiet breakfast, peruse the apparel vendors, and then check out the Willie’s Ol’ School Chopper Show. Get your fill of live music and other fun at the Iron Horse Saloon, Smiley’s Tap Room, and Broken Spoke. You can also get hard-to-find parts at J&P Cycles. There is also camping available at Sunshine Holiday RV Park.

South Daytona:

Take a cruise down U.S. Highway 1 to visit South Daytona. There are shops like Miller’s Custom Parts and Jim Walkers Motorcycles, as well as lots of vendors, food and entertainment. ROAR is also present, offering custom-designed motorcycles and apparel for women, including jewelry, cosmetics, and other accessories.

There is plenty to do at the 2015 Biketoberfest in Daytona. Just remember, be safe and have fun. And we’ll see you again next year!

A car turned in front of me causing me to spend 2 days in the hospital with surgery. They had only minimum coverage. My insurance even claimed I had no uninsured motorist coverage. I was sure I was in for a long battle. I had never stayed in the hospital, hired an attorney or met James before. Did some online searching and gave him a call. James came threw like a champ. Best phone call I've ever made.
